I’m a London-based writer, editor and critic with a decade of experience.
I am currently the Culture Editor at The Independent, leading coverage of film, TV, music, books, art and theatre.
I was previously Deputy Arts Editor at the Evening Standard, where I worked across print and digital from 2016 to 2022, latterly as one of the paper’s two theatre critics. I have appeared on the Radio 4 Today Programme and Woman’s Hour, and chaired panels for various arts festivals including Henley, Charleston and Wilderness.
I’m experienced at digital strategy and editorial project management, having previously worked on the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, Evening Standard Art Prize, and the Standard’s Future Theatre Fund partnership with TikTok and the National Youth Theatre.
In 2020, I was selected from almost 1000 applicants for a place on the London Library Emerging Writers Programme.
