I’m a London-based writer, editor and critic with a decade of experience.

I am currently the Arts Editor at The Independent, where I lead on coverage of books, theatre, visual arts and dance. I write, edit and commission interviews, features, columns and reviews across the culture and lifestyle sections, and am the author of the Indy’s weekly arts newsletter.

I was previously Deputy Arts Editor at the Evening Standard, where I worked across print and digital from 2016 to 2022, latterly as one of the paper’s two theatre critics. I have appeared on the Radio 4 Today Programme and Woman’s Hour, and chaired panels for Charleston Festival and the Royal Opera House.

I’m experienced at digital strategy and editorial project management, having previously worked on the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, Evening Standard Art Prize, and the Standard’s Future Theatre Fund partnership with TikTok and the National Youth Theatre.

In 2020, I was selected from almost 1000 applicants for a place on the London Library Emerging Writers Programme.
